THIS HEBDOMAS has been SOLD!!! General Description: This is a lovely 20th Century, SILVER 8-DAY POCKET WATCH by the renowned SWISS Maker SCHILD & Co. and dates to 1914c. The Company was very successful with this model and it was sold under different Brand & Contract Names, when sales were expanded into many Markets. (see Pritchard). This WW1 Watch has a LONDON ASSAY MARK for 1914c and is in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition. The SILVER CASE is signed with the Maker's Mark H.S and bears Serial Number 519180 on the back cover. The movement is a Swiss clubfoot lever which has a Visible Escapement - one of the attractions of the model and is fitted with a Spiral Breguet Hairspring and runs for 8 Days. It is stem-wound and pin-set and there are numerous award medals decorating the back. The very attractive Dial is in excellent condition with clear Roman Numerals and a new raised Glass Crystal has recently been fitted. This watch would make a very nice addition to your collection.
