General Description: This is a very fine fully engraved, late 19th Century, 8 Day - MINIATURE FRENCH CARRIAGE CLOCK, with movement s/n 2851 and Makers Mark B encircled ( Identified by Karl Kochmann, but no details provided). It is in a superb Corniche Style Brass Case with Canted Corners, Multicolour Highlights and is in very good condition. It is smaller than the usual miniature, being only 3 & 3/4" tall with the handle extended. The jewelled platform escapement, has a pointed tooth ratched wheel and a fishtailed lever, is in very good working condition and keeping good time. The case is in excellent condition and has no dings or dents and the door is stamped with the last 2 digits of the movement s/n. It is keywound and Keyset at the back dates to 1885c. (ref.
