General Description: This is a very nice 9ct GOLD, SWISS Ladies Bracelet Wristwatch.The rare 7J Movement is signed ROLEX, Swiss Made on the winding wheels and is running very well and keeping good time.The case has a London Import mark for 1916 and is stamped 9.375, with the Maker's Mark W&D - (WILSDORF & DAVIS - The Founders of Rolex in 1908.).It is also stamped Rolex, 9K with the Swiss Cross patent insignia and the number 3 and has serial number 802724.The GOLD BRACELET is stamped "REGENT" - PATENT 5361-15 - 9ct on the links. This is a very early Rolex made 8 years after the Company was incorporated and records show that only 25,000 were sold by the early 1920's.The movement is a Rebberg Calibre made by Aegler SA, with whom Rolex had a very close association in the early days and which later became the manufacturing arm of Rolex. Aegler registered the name Rolex as a trade name for watches in 1913, so this is an early issue to the Market.( see Pritchard) The overall length of bracelet & watch is 210mm expanded - (ref. L4..)
